Biography

Len Mankowski is a VP - Emerging Contaminants R&D Program at WSP. He is based in Traverse City, Michigan. Len earned a Bachelor of Science degree in applied geophysics, and a Master of Science degree in geology from Michigan Technological University. Len has over 20 years of site characterization and remediation experience. He was the prinicipal investigator that developed phyto-enhanced in-situ retention or PEIR barriers to address PFAS in groundwater and has served as PI/technical lead on multiple DoW sponsored projects. Len's R&D interests include high resolution site characterization techniques and remedial design/technology assessments for emerging and recalcitrant contaminants.
