Biography

Zack Smith is the Practice Leader for Environmental Assessment and Remediation at Verdantas. Zack’s experience includes working with clients in the aerospace, manufacturing, chemical, pharmaceutical, real estate, and oil and gas industries. He supports clients in developing site closure strategies and working with regulators. His regulatory experience includes federal and state environmental programs, including complex projects under state cleanup programs, CERCLA (Superfund), RCRA Corrective Action, and TSCA. He has presented at several environmental and scientific conferences on hydrogeology, environmental site characterization, and remediation. He has worked to develop and present short courses for professional credits through professional organizations in Connecticut and Massachusetts. Zack routinely participates in and supports working groups and technical teams through regulatory and industry organizations, including work groups related to emerging contaminants and PFAS.
