Biography

Dr. Rick Wilkin is Chief of the Subsurface Remediation Branch in EPA's Center for Environmental Solutions and Emergency Response. Rick has led field research programs on high-priority topics for EPA, including contaminant behavior in groundwater, hydraulic fracturing and drinking water resources, and developing the science around per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) in groundwater. He received a Ph.D. in Geosciences from the Pennsylvania State University in 1995 and has been with EPA since 1999.
