Biography
Dr. Emily Crownover, Managing Principal Engineer at TRS Group, started her research career in 2005, and has developed areas of expertise in thermal treatment design and implementation, as well as electrical resistance heating (ERH) and thermal conduction heating (TCH) technologies. Dr. Crownover has designed, implemented, and optimized in situ thermal remediation (ISTR) systems at sites across the United States and Canada, ranging from active facilities to large Superfund sites. Dr. Crownover manages engineering staff and leads the research and development program at TRS, facilitating in situ thermal industry advancements, including PFAS thermal remediation, 1,4-dioxane remediation, and low temperature heating to enhance degradation pathways.
