Biography

Cesar Gomez-Avila earned his PhD in Chemical Engineering from Texas Tech University, under the supervision of Dr. Danny Reible. He specialized in stormwater management, contaminant fate and transport, and sediment recontamination, and his expertise includes a range of pollutants including PFAS, PAHs, PCBs, and heavy metals in various types of environmental media. Currently he works with Parsons Corporation, supporting various environmental engineering and remediation projects.
