Biography

Matt is a NAPL Subject Matter Expert (SME) whose work focuses on the preparation of NAPL Conceptual Site Models including the design of NAPL site investigation programs, NAPL mobility/recoverability/stability evaluations, NAPL remediation/management strategies and the evaluation of NAPL biodegradation (Natural Source Zone Depletion or NSZD) with a focus on sustainable risk based solutions. He leads GHD's petroleum-contaminated sites/NAPLs technical group and advises on NAPL projects globally. He regularly provides training related to NAPL behaviour, site characterization and remediation both internally and externally, and has participated in the development of technical guidance documents/text books related to NAPL site management published in Australia (CRC CARE), Canada (FCSAP, DND), Switzerland (Springer), and the United States (ITRC, ASTM). Matt obtained B.A.Sc. and M.A.Sc. degrees in Environmental Engineering from the University of Windsor in Windsor, Ontario, Canada.
