Biography

Tracey Tapley joined the Savannah District, South Atlantic Division of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) in June of 2002 as a Geologist. In 2017, Ms. Tapley was promoted to her current position as Senior Geologist. Ms. Tapley’s responsibilities include technical management, and in-house execution of environmental, geotechnical, and embankment drilling projects throughout the southeastern United States. As part of the Geology, Hydrogeology and HTRW Section she works alongside a team of Geologists, Chemists, Physical Scientists and Drill Crews executing environmental and geotechnical drilling projects throughout the country. Notable projects include overwater drilling for the expansion of Savannah and Jacksonville Harbors, Remedial Investigations at multiple FUDS sites, subsurface investigations of numerous embankment dams and levees throughout the country. Ms. Tapley has served in the field of Geology for nearly 20 years and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from Georgia Southern University (2004).
