Biography

Nick Rose is a Senior Scientist at Verdantas with an educational background in chemistry, environmental engineering, and microbiology. He has 18 years of experience working on a variety of scientific, environmental, and litigation projects. His focus has been on leading teams in the use of statistical techniques and modeling to evaluate sources of contamination, areas requiring remediation, alternative remedy effectiveness, remediation costs, and re-contamination potential on some of the largest sediment superfund sites in the United States. He has conducted work for clients involved in remedial design and/or allocation of remediation costs. He specializes in using statistical techniques and contaminant transport modeling, including leading the development of proprietary R-based programming tools for the evaluation contaminant transport (TIGSED®) and conducting statistical forensics (polytopic vector analysis [PVA]).
