He specializes in bioremediation and in-situ remediation in low-permeability and heterogenous geologic units. Dr. Wang conducted his Ph.D. research in anaerobic biodegradation of anthropogenic organic contaminants. He continued his research as a faculty at Northeastern University and later at Geosyntec as a remediation engineering practice leader. Dr. Wang has developed and managed site investigation and remediation projects to address metal, petroleum hydrocarbon, and chlorinated solvent contaminations under RCRA, CERCLA, state lead, and voluntary cleanup programs.
