Biography

Mr. Shafieiyoun is currently a Quantitative Contaminant Hydrogeologist at GHD Limited and obtained his PhD in Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Waterloo, Canada. He has research and consulting experience in organic contaminant hydrogeology and specializes in fate and transport of a wide range of contaminants including different types of NAPLs, PFAS, and microplastics. Saeid’s expertise includes groundwater flow and contaminant transport modeling, high-resolution characterization of contaminated porous media and fractured bedrock aquifers, source identification and Hydrgeological conceptual site model development.
