Biography

Dr. John Xiong is a Principal Engineer and Applied Research Practice Leader at Haley & Aldrich, Inc. in Costa Mesa, CA. He has 20 years of experience in environmental consulting, research, and litigation support, focusing on contaminated site investigation and remediation. He has developed cost-effective and streamlined strategies for final remedies accepted by federal and state regulatory agencies on projects that entail complex technical and policy issues. As a Principal Investigator, he leads multiple applied research projects funded by federal agencies to develop and demonstrate innovative technologies for PFAS treatment and assessment. He has published over 20 articles in peer-reviewed scientific journals and is a primary inventor of two patents for remediation technologies. John is an active member of his communities and currently serves as a Director for the Groundwater Resources Association of California (GRA) and a Vice President for the Southern California Chinese American Environmental Protection Association (SCCAEPA).
