Biography

James Peale is a Senior Principal Hydrogeologist with Geosyntec in Portland, Oregon. He earned a BA in Geology from Vassar College and an MS in Environmental Engineering from the Oregon Graduate Institute and has been working throughout the Pacific Northwest for over 30 years. His areas of technical focus include investigation and remediation of chlorinated solvents and manufactured gas plant waste in soil, groundwater, and sediment. His practice these days focuses on providing technical support, including environmental forensics, in the context of allocation of liability, mediation, and litigation. Outside of work, James is an amateur musician, an occasional luthier, and an obstinate cyclist.
