Biography

Avery Brewer is a current Environmental Engineering Ph.D. student at Arizona State University. She previously received her B.S. in Plant Biosciences from the Ohio State University. Advised by Dr. Anca Delgado, Avery's research is focused on investigating the kinetic and ecological interactions that govern the bioremediation of chlorinated solvents. In particular, she is interested in better understanding the interactions between reductive dechlorination and microbial chain elongation in order to engineer more effective bioremediation approaches.
