Biography

Mukhtiar Ali is an associate investigator at the National University of Singapore (Suzhou) Research Institute (NUSRI). He achieved his Ph.D. degree from the Institute of Soil Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences. His main research area is the safe remediation of contaminants from the environment, especially those related to microbial assisted chemical and thermal degradation. He has published several review articles on the bioremediation of mixed contaminants, and thermally-enhanced biodegradation of organic contaminants. Dr. Mukhtiar Ali has published more than 10 research articles in Water Research, Journal of Hazardous Materials, Science of the Total Environment, and Environmental Pollution.
