Biography

Dr. Gui Lotufo has been a Research Biologist with the U.S. Army Research and Development Center in Vicksburg, Mississippi for the last 24 years. He earned a bachelor’s and master’s degree in biology from the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil, and a Ph.D. in zoology from Louisiana State University. Dr. Lotufo has conducted basic and applied research primarily in support of the emerging contaminants, dredging and military research programs, focusing recently mostly on underwater munitions and PFAS.
