Biography

Kimbrie is a Senior Scientist within the California Environmental Water Group at WSP. She currently manages the San Diego Aquatic Sciences group a. Her experience has centered on sediment characterization and permitting, primarily related to dredging, but also supports remediation and risk assessment projects all along the U.S. West Coast. She leads a team that manages several projects that characterize the health of biological communities in local bays and harbors of Southern California. Kimbrie has been an active member of the Western Dredging Association, acting on the Pacific Chapter Board from 2017-2024, and as part of the National Board since 2018. She is currently the Events Committee lead for the World Dredging Congress and Expo which will take place in San Diego in 2025. Kimbrie received her B.S. in Environmental Studies with minors in Biology and Geology from Temple University and an M.S. in Marine Science from the University of San Diego.
