Biography

Rob is a Senior Program Manager at the Port of Tacoma with over 25 years of experience. He oversees the Port of Tacoma's environmental remediation program, focusing on strategic planning, risk management, and environmental due diligence for property transactions and redevelopment projects. He manages the Port’s Brownfield remediation program, working closely with the State of Washington, EPA and the Puyallup Tribe of Indians. Before joining the Port of Tacoma, Robert worked at CH2M HILL, where he held various positions, including Program Hydrogeologist and Operations Leader. Robert holds a Master of Science in Geology from Oregon State University and dual Bachelor’s degrees in Geology and Economics from the University of Washington. He is a licensed Hydrogeologist and Registered Professional Geologist in Washington and Oregon, and a certified Project Management Professional (PMP). In addition to his professional achievements, Robert serves as a Planning Commissioner for the City of Sumner and is an Advisory Board Member at Clover Park Technical Community College.
