Biography

Dr. Ozkan has Bachelor, Masters, and PhD degrees in Civil Engineering. She has more than 20 years of experience in multi-disciplinary civil and environmental engineering projects. These projects include contaminated sediment remedial investigations, feasibility studies, remedial design, construction oversight, and long-term monitoring. She has authored technical publications in the areas of remediation of contaminated sediments, contaminant transport modeling and flood-induced seepage problems. Currently she is the lead engineer on several sediment remediation projects including Lower Passaic River in New Jersey, Head of Thea Foss in Washington, Big John’s Salvage in West Virginia, Lake Houston in Texas and Tainheiros Cove in Brazil. She also supports civil, geotechnical, and environmental engineering tasks of renewable energy, stream restoration, and site development projects.
