Michael Johnson Senior Associate/Marine Scientist Michael is an experienced field biologist and scientist responsible for conducting sediment evaluations, ecological inventories, and habitat studies, including sediment disposal evaluations, wildlife baseline surveys, wetland delineations, and freshwater and marine studies. He has designed and conducted a wide range of field studies and sampling programs, especially in relation to aquatic and fisheries sampling, ecological risk assessments, dredge sampling, restoration monitoring, natural resource damage assessment and permit and license compliance work. He has worked on CERCLA and RCRA sites and is experienced using USEPA guidelines and protocols for remedial investigations and ecological risk assessments. A certified SCUBA diver and advanced Scientific Research diver, Michael offers special expertise in freshwater and marine ecological, including subtidal and intertidal surveys and sampling, remote diving, and fisheries surveys. He is also a third-generation Maine lobster fisherman and boat operator.
