Biography

Post-Doctoral Scholar at Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, University of California Los Angeles. 1)Himadri Bose is a Post-Doctoral Scholar at UCLA studying bioremediation of 1,4-dioxane, CVOCs, and other emerging contaminants of concern. He also conducts research on algal-bacterial based waste water treatment. 2) Himadri Bose has done his Ph.D. from University of Delhi, Department of Microbiology, India. He did his PhD on biomimetic carbon sequestration by carbonic anhydrases from polyextremophiles. His first post-doctoral stint was at India Institute of Technology Kharagpur, India. There he studied microbial diversity and functional aspects of deep subsurface and bioremediation aspects of arsenic-contaminated paddy soil. He was the recipient of prestigious DST-National Post-Doctoral Fellowship by Government of India.
