The session will review the overall details and pros and cons of both a passive and an active mitigation system, determination of when to use each based on contaminants, regulatory guidance, building use, etc.
Approach/Activities
The presentation will include source considerations, national guidances, screening levels, regulatory response, mitigation and monitoring and ongoing system and building operations, maintenance and monitoring. The session will review how other countries and areas are responding to passive and active systems.
Results/Lessons Learned
Discussions of success stories for both passive and active systems, problems and issues with each, remedies for each, and long-term effects for each will be held.
