Biography

Matt Ambrusch, a licensed professional engineer in New Jersey, is an Associate Principal at Langan Engineering, specializing in in-situ remediation, particularly in support of the redevelopment of brownfields and landfills for the purposes of mixed-use developments. He helps lead Langan’s remediation engineering division and champions the three-dimensional pneumatic computational modeling practice for the purposes of designing more effective and cost-efficient remedial systems. He has extensive experience and expertise in the testing, evaluation, design, and optimization of vapor intrusion mitigation systems, and supports projects through the design, implementation and operation of vapor and landfill gas mitigation systems throughout the country. He is also involved in a number of sustainability initiatives and works to incorporate sustainability throughout the life cycle of a project. He has been a member of the Sustainable Remediation Forum (SURF) since 2016 and is currently the Chair of the SURF Meetings Committee, as well as held the office of Vice President and President. He has a B.S. in Bioenvironmental Engineering from Rutgers University and an MBA from Rutgers Business School.
