Biography

Yukun Jin obtained her PhD from the University of Notre Dame, where her research specialization was in the investigation of PFAS in drinking water using Particle Induced Gamma-ray Emission (PIGE) spectroscopy. Over the course of four years, she dedicated her efforts to developing a streamlined method for the rapid screening of PFAS in water samples, and conducted extensive testing on numerous real-world samples representing diverse matrices. Her commitment extended to refining these techniques for practical applications, with a strong focus on real-world impact. Yukun has showcased her expertise and dedication by delivering insightful presentations through talks and posters at several conferences. Her research interests encompass environmental chemistry, water quality assessment, and the development of innovative techniques for contaminant analysis. She is deeply passionate about addressing critical environmental challenges and is committed to contributing to a sustainable future through her future work at GSI Environmental Inc.
