Biography

Hui Li, PE, is a California-license Professional civil engineer with over 20 years of experience as an engineer and project manager in the environmental industry. She has successfully managed and implemented projects from initiation to completion, including development of site conceptual models, oversight of field investigations, evaluation of data, reporting, preparation of feasibility studies, preparation of remedial action plans and design, completion of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) process, implementation of remediation, regulatory communication, and obtaining case closure. She has been the engineer of record and project manager for various projects, including soil, groundwater, and soil vapor remedial design, construction management, and system operation and maintenance. Ms. Li was born and raised in China and obtained her bachelor’s degree from Sichuan University. After working for Chongqing Environmental Protection Bureau for five years, she came to the US for graduate school and received a Master of Science degree in Civil Engineer from the University of Minnesota. Currently, she is a supervising engineer with EKI Environment & Water, Inc. Her responsibilities have included managing large and small demolition and remediation projects; developing and executing feasibility and pilot studies; leading in soil, groundwater, and soil vapor remedial design and construction management; managing design and construction of vapor intrusion mitigation systems; managing institutional controls and site management plans; overseeing soil, groundwater, and soil vapor sampling programs; and managing treatment system operation and maintenance (O&M).
