Biography

Dr. Chris Cohu the CEO and Lead Scientist at Intrinsyx Environmental, specializing in phytoremediation technology development and system design. He is a pioneer in endophyte-assisted phytoremediation -- where plants and endophytic bacteria and fungi are combined and tailored to site contaminants and environmental conditions. Dr. Cohu has successfully deployed field-scale phytoremediation systems across the U.S. and internationally at sites containing organic, inorganic, and mixed pollutants. He has over 20 years of experience in phytoremediation and has worked in both industry and academia. Dr. Cohu received his Ph.D. from Colorado State University and was previously an Assistant Professor at Colorado Mesa University where he taught courses in pollution science and control technologies, regulatory compliance, and soil science.
