Biography

Dr. Chris Cohu is a Lead Scientist at Intrinsyx Environmental, specializing in phytoremediation technology development and system design. He is a pioneer in endophyte-assisted phytoremediation -- where plants and endophytic bacteria are combined and tailored to site contaminants and environmental conditions. Dr. Cohu has successfully deployed field-scale phytoremediation systems across the U.S. at sites containing organic, inorganic, and mixed pollutants. He has over 20 years of experience in phytoremediation and has worked in both industry and academia. Dr. Cohu received his Ph.D. from Colorado State University and is also an Assistant Professor at Colorado Mesa University where he teaches courses in pollution science and control technologies, regulatory compliance, and soil science.
