Biography

Mr. Pujol is a senior project manager with 23 years of experience in site investigation and remediation. Manager of more than 100 site investigation and remediation projects in South-America related to Volatile Organic Compounds, Petroleum Hydrocarbons, Chlorinated Solvents, Pesticides and Heavy Metals. Knowledges with remediation technologies such as Soil Vapor Extraction (SVE); Dual-Phase Extraction (DPE); Multi-Phase Extraction (MPE); Air Sparging (AS); In-Situ Chemical Oxidation (ISCO); In-Situ Chemical Reduction (ISCR); In-Situ Stabilization; Thermal Treatments; Soil Heating (Steam Injection); Pump & Treat (P&T); Permeable Reactive Barriers (PRB); Bioremediation; Natural Attenuation and Environment Fracturing, all of them considering the concepts of sustainable remediation. Mr. Pujol was pioneer in Brazil developing and applying technologies for remediation products injection using pneumatic and hydraulic fracturing. Mr. Pujol is involved in a series of research and development works, with the publication of several articles and exhibition of successful projects in seminars, especially in the best annual remediation seminar (Battelle).
