Biography

Chenju Liang, a distinguished professor, graduated from the Department of Water Resources and Environmental Engineering at Tamkang University in 1994. In 1999 and 2002, he obtained his master's and doctoral degrees, respectively, from the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Massachusetts Lowell in the United States. From 1994 to 1996, he was a Personnel Specialist with the rank of Corporal in the Military Police. In 1997, he served as a Supervising Engineer for Chiyu Construction Engineering Company in Kaohsiung City, on the Incinerator-Administrative Building Construction Project. From 1983 to 1985, he was a Personnel Specialist with the rank of Corporal in the Military Police. From 2003 to 2004, he served as a research project principal investigator and postdoctoral researcher at the University of Massachusetts Lowell. In 2003, he also worked as a consultant for Xpert Design & Diagnostics, LLC, and Tetra Tech, Inc. He taught in the Department of Civil Engineering at Merrimack College in Massachusetts in 2003 and joined the Department of Environmental Engineering at National Chung Hsing University in 2004. Throughout his career, he held various academic positions, including Assistant Professor (2004/08-2008/01), Associate Professor (2008/02-2011/07), and was promoted to full Professor in 2011. He also took on administrative roles at National Chung Hsing University, including Department Chair, Director of the Center for Environmental Protection and Occupational Safety and Health, and Vice President of Academic Affairs. Since 2014, he has held the title of Distinguished Professor at National Chung Hsing University.
