Biography

Heather Lord, PhD Dr. Lord joined Environmental Standards in 2023 as a Senior Associate Forensic Chemist and will support the continued expansion of Environmental Standards’ forensic chemistry practice. Prior to joining Environmental Standards, Heather served as the Senior Manager of Advanced Organic Testing Services for Bureau Veritas in Mississauga, ON, (formerly Maxxam Analytics), managing operations for PFAS, Dioxin, Furan and PCB analysis services; and prior to that served as Maxxam’s Manager of Environmental Research and Development. Heather received her B.Sc. degree in Environmental Biology with Chemistry minor from the University of Guelph. She received her Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from the University of Waterloo in 2005 and has published an impressive body of work on her research in the applications of numerous techniques for environmental and biological analytical chemistry.
