Biography

Laura Simmons is a highly skilled professional geologist licensed in the State of Tennessee, holding a bachelor's degree in Geology from the University of Tennessee. With a strong foundation in environmental science and geology, Mrs. Simmons specializes in supporting Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS) remedial investigations. She currently collaborates with the Department of the Air Force, focusing on assessing and mitigating PFAS contamination, including compounds such as PFOS, PFOA, and related substances. Her expertise includes drafting data quality objectives, developing comprehensive sampling plans, evaluating the fate and transport of these contaminants, and implementing data-driven solutions to advance environmental remediation efforts and protect human health and the environment.
