Biography

1) Shandra is a Principal Scientist at Arcadis, working out of the Guaynabo, Puerto Rico office for the past 12 years. She co-leads Arcadis’ national Biological Remediation Practice Area and currently supports environmental remediation projects for industrial clients in the US, Puerto Rico, and Latin American geographies, as well as for federal clients in the US. 2) Shandra has a BS in Industrial Biotechnology and BS in Chemistry from the University of Puerto Rico, Mayaguez Campus and a Doctor in Philosophy (PhD) of Biology, with a focus on Environmental Microbiology, from the Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech), where she was advised by Dr. Frank Loeffler.
