Biography

Discipline Lead for In-Situ Remedial Action (CDM Smith) B.S. Chemical and Petroleum Refining Engineering - Colorado School of Mines M.S. Environmental Engineering - University of Texas at Austin Mr. Lamar is project manager and environmental engineer with 21 years of experience in environmental and groundwater remediation projects. Mike currently serves as the discipline leader for in-situ remedial action. He has been involved in the characterization, evaluation, design and implementation of many in-situ remediation efforts. Mr. Lamar has extensive experience working with private, state, and federal clients to evaluate innovative solutions to contaminant cleanup problems, primarily focusing on in-situ groundwater remediation. In addition to designing innovative in-situ remedial strategies for contaminated groundwater, Mr. Lamar’s experience includes conceptual modeling for groundwater assessment and treatment, work plan development, bench-scale studies, performance studies, tracer studies, multi-phase extraction oversight, research and development (R&D), and in-situ groundwater design, construction, operations, and maintenance. Mr. Lamar is also involved in evaluating innovative techniques for investigation and remediation applications for traditional and emerging contaminants.
