Biography

Dr. Tamzen Macbeth is the Remediation Practice Leader at CDM Smith, where she leads the firm’s environmental remediation practice, providing strategic and technical leadership across a broad, multidisciplinary portfolio of remediation services. In this role, she oversees and integrates expertise spanning multiple technical disciplines supporting complex soil, groundwater, sediment, and emerging contaminant remediation programs for federal, state, and private-sector clients. Dr. Macbeth is an internationally recognized remediation expert with deep experience bridging scientific research, engineering design, and field implementation, and she has led or supported numerous high‑profile remediation projects involving hazardous waste sites and emerging contaminants, including PFAS.
