Biography

Gary is a recognized leader in environmental remediation, with 41 years of experience developing and implementing innovative in-situ technologies for the cleanup of contaminated soil and groundwater. He is the Founder and Managing Partner of Tersus Environmental. A licensed Professional Engineer in NC, VA, and FL, Gary holds a degree in chemical engineering from NC State University. His global project work spans five continents, with a focus on sustainable, green technologies. He commercialized EDS-ER™, a widely used organic substrate for enhanced reductive dechlorination. Gary holds five U.S. patents and is the lead inventor of US Patent 11,577,231 B2, which introduces a novel method for in-situ alcoholysis to enhance anaerobic bioremediation.
