Biography

Mr. Olean is Ramboll's Site Solutions Service Line leader for the Americas and has over 30 years of experience in environmental remediation project management including estimating, design, scheduling, and implementation oversight. He has managed in excess of $450,000,000 of complex remediation projects. In addition to his technical roles, he has also served in leadership roles ranging from department head and office manager to Service Line Leader and Vice President. He specializes in remedial strategy, remedy selection and evaluation, constructability review, design and construction management (CM) on environmental projects focusing on sediments and former industrial sites including impacted sediment sites, manufactured gas plants (MGPs), refineries, railroads and manufacturing facilities. He has lead efforts for treatability, pilot studies, design, regulatory negotiation and implementation of more than 25 in situ solidification remedies on coal tar and wood treating sites and has also led an effort with an electric power industry group and the USEPA to develop an emerging sediment remediation technology using in-situ solidification on coal tar impacted sediments.
