LimnoTech
Tim Dekker is the President and CEO of LimnoTech in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and is an environmental and water resources engineer with expertise in the management and caretaking of natural and urban water systems. Tim has led scientific studies, technical projects and design efforts throughout North America describing the dynamics of surface water, sediments, and groundwater systems; assessing and mitigating the effects of human activity on water supply and quality; and developing storm water and CSO control strategies for cities throughout the United States. In his work, Tim brings an integrative approach to problem solving that blends science and engineering with highly collaborative, multidisciplinary design and planning. He has been a part of many successful national design competitions and projects focusing on the restoration and revitalization of urban waterways and waterfronts, and works to advance the science and practice of urban water management globally. Tim received his Doctorate in Environmental Engineering at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor in 1996 and has served as a lecturer and adjunct professor of environmental engineering there. Tim is a regular lecturer and studio critic at the Harvard University Graduate School of Design.
