Biography

Dr. Calabretta is an Environmental Scientist with Leidos. His expertise lies in natural resource assessment and geospatial analysis, with more than twenty years practical experience studying the dynamics of coastal systems. During his tenure with Leidos, he has leveraged his academic background and broad experience in site characterization, risk assessment, and restoration planning to support science-based decision making for both public and private sector clients. Dr. Calabretta specializes in the assessment of natural and climate hazard risk and the design of nature-based solutions for enhancing coastal infrastructure. He earned his B.S. in Biology from Gettysburg College and his Ph.D. in Biological Oceanography from the University of Rhode Island.
