Biography
Dr. Prashanth Khambhammettu is a subject matter expert in quantitative hydrogeology and statistical analysis at Arcadis. He is a co-lead for the Groundwater Modeling Practice Area within Arcadis. He has over two decades of experience in data organization and analysis, conceptual site model development, integrated groundwater / surfacewater assessment (GW/SW) assessment/modeling, contaminant fate-and-transport analyses, parameter and uncertainty analyses, and groundwater remedial design. He has used PCA and other multi-variate statistical analyses to identify source fingerprints in groundwater and sediment samples at sites impacted by PCBs, PFAS, metals, and other contaminants. Prashanth has presented at publications in peer-reviewed journals and technical guidance documents, including recent articles on the importance of considering surface water /groundwater interactions at PFAS-impacted sites published in Groundwater Monitoring and Remediation in 2023 and on ensemble approaches towards forecasting remedial outcomes published in Groundwater in 2023.
